This footage depicts the making of Embalming Coloquim Movie (Copyrighted 2016) while completing her program at Southern Illinois University Mortuary School in Carbondale Illinois. This is a work of art that is original, the footage is original FILE 0023. It's sole purpose is to demonstrate Dr. Eva Krawczyk's Embalming skills and for educational purposes. It's subject focuses on "WHEELING BODY FROM REMOVAL VAN INTO THE POST-MORTEM PREPARATION SURGICAL ROOM-DEMONSTRATION OF CAUTION & USE OF PROPER BODY MECHANICS" Subject is an Artistic Rendition created from complex molds incorporating compounds made up of: Latex rubber, wax and silicone sculpture Demonstrating Dr. Eva Krawczyk's special effects and restorative arts skills, she is an artist in addition to being an embalmer and funeral director. The subject and victim in this footage is NOT human, it is a synthetic life-like, detailed representation of gun-shot victim that took hundreds of hours of recreation and mastery. In this simulation (not shown here) the gun shot entered the left temporal region and victim was found on the roof of his hospital complex, the scenario is set to illustrate the effect of an unfortunate suicide after the synthetic victim suffered from pancreatic cancer that had metastasized with no hope of recovery. Simulated suicide occurred minutes after hearing his health prognosis and death verdict. This is based on real characters who suffered a similar demise as a result of pancreatic cancer and it’s physical and mental toll it played in their lives & real events personal to the artist’s life and depicts Eva the artist's sculptures and artistic recreations and renditions of this event. The educational purpose is to make it seem as realistic as possible. This video is in a series of "HOW TO DEMONSTRATIONS" for future aspiring and burgeoning embalmers: first step is to always encompass removal of the body and bring them to the funeral home then thorough analysis begins on how one approaches the post-mortem surgery. Analysis begins upon removal body from the body bag and cot.
