A large part of scholarship agrees that the Jesus of the Bible is a composite of myth, theology and historical evidence. Yet the process of separating these three has left academia with contesting theories; and a rickety foundation because of faulty methodologies. On the other hand, sensationalism and fundamentalism have created its own industry of competing Christs. The quest for Jesus seems without an end. However, there are logical and mathematical tools that can not only forge a consensus but unify many of the various Jesus theories. We investigate the modern quest for the historical Jesus and the origins of Christianity, applying the latest scholarship. In the end, we discover little history but an ocean of mythology from the imagination of ancient man.
