Dr. J.J. Hurtak has two Ph.D.s in the area of Social Science, one from the University of California, Irvine and one from the University of Minnesota, USA. As futurists and social scientists, they were speakers at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (June 2012) also known as Rio + 20 where they created a panel of young experts seeking to create a positive future. They have been speakers at the United Nations DPI Climate Forum, New York (2007) and were presenters of new technologies at the Partnership forum at the UN World Summit for Sustainable Development (Johannesburg, 2002). Dr. JJ Hurtak is also well known for his work on space law including his paper entitled The Openness Principle in Multilateral Agreements for Space Exploration published by the University of Mississippi’s National Center for Remote Sensing, Air and Space Law (2009). They have lectured extensively on the theme of “Space Law: the Foundation for Peace in Space” before faculty and students, for example, at the Department of Law, the University of Santa Catarina in southern Brazil, and are working on several text books that will reach a new generation.
