The truth about Salmaniya Medical Complex which was occupied by "peaceful" protesters and used for propaganda. It is worth noting that only one tv channel was allowed to have its staff inside the hospital and that is Al Aalam. The hospital's staff refused treatment of any pro-government, naturalized citizens, and expatriates. Many of the hospital's staff were threatened by Dr. Ali Alekri not to leave, and some (specifically expatriates) were forced into staying in the hospital. There are some unconfirmed reports of hostages taken into the hospital to be used as human shields in the event of security forces crackdown. Thankfully, the hospital was freed by the security forces on Mar. 16, 2011.
