The Wandering Photographer & Family in Bolivia & Peru

The Marzo's (Ed, Karen, Jack, JoAnn & Jason) go on a Humanitarian Aide Mission to Bolivia and Peru. Here is a quick photo show of some of the things they got to see. Highlights of Bolivia.... *LaPaz is huge... poor... poor *Viacha filled with dirt roads and no garbage system *Children of the various schools we visited - BEAUTIFUL We visited several schools to see what needs they had and to see the Green Houses that the Choice Foundation had put in... one school actually does so well with their green house that they are able to feed the children lunch (salads) twice a week just from the garden! *Met with Village Leaders - people filled with love *Did some sight seeing *Got caught in Civil Unrest *Escaped via back roads and mountain passes *Got stranded in Copacabana (No Barry Manilow songs please) *Finally got over the boarder to Peru Highlights of Peru *Visited Uros (Reed Islands - imagine floating islands made completely of reeds) *Cuzco - yes there is a picture of a boy playing with a dead mouse... the market has everything from fruits to vegetables to meat - none of which is wasted... they even use the snouts, feet, intestines, etc.... *Met with the Sunflower Orphanage where we brought supplies and taught them how to made a unique type of necklace (Micro project - they've made enough in the past two months to buy all of their school supplies, clothes and pay tuition!) *Met with Leaders of Tucsan Village - water project - by the way this project was on www.tippingbucket.org and since we raised enough money to put in the water system for them we are going to be able to put in most of a water system for the Orphanage!!!! YEAH! *Tucsan Villagers share their food with us - YES I ate Cuy - Guinea Pig...
