Theft From Auto Stolen Firearm 6500 Lansdowne Ave DC 17 19 067937

On Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at 6:00 pm, the victim, a 33 year-old-female, parked her vehicle in the 6800 block of Lansdowne Avenue. When she returned she found the door open and her handgun missing from the glove compartment. Surveillance video recovered from the area depicts an unknown black male trying car doors on the block, eventually entering the victim's car. Suspect Description: Black male, wearing a gray short sleeve t-shirt, and blue jeans. If you see this suspect do not approach, contact 911 immediately.
