Today's Thrifty Thursday is all about the humble bean! You can't get much more thrifty than that! ************************************** Snail Mail: Kim Maness PO Box 969 Kannapolis, NC 28082 Email: [email protected] Follow me on IG @agirl_andherphone ************************************** Crockpot Baked Beans 1 pound dried navy beans, cooked and drained 1 small chopped onion 3/4 cup ketchup 3/4 cup water 3/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon dry mustard 2 tablespoons molasses 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke The first step is to cook your beans. You may do this anyway that is convenient for you. In the crockpot or on the stove the day or night before or if you have some precooked and stored in the freezer just thaw them out. Mix the sauce ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Place beans, onions and sauce in crockpot and cook on high 4 hours or low 8 hours. Makes 6 cups. 12 - 1/2 cup servings.
