On Sunday 7 July 2013 Australian Railway Historical Society NSW Branch conducted a tour from Paterson to Trainworks at Thirlmere via Central. The tour included a visit to Trainworks and a trip on the Buxton steam shuttle.
Trains used were Railmotors CPH 1 and CPH 7 from the Rail Motor Society at Paterson NSW and steam loco 2705 from the Rail Transport Museum at Thirlmere.
