Tirreno-Adriatico 2014 - Stages 2 & 3 Race Reports

Stages 2 and 3 of the Tirreno-Adriatico both ended in bunch sprints. With Marcel Kittel, Andre Greipel, Mark Cavendish and Arnaud Demare in the field, the early break was brought back as the field readied for the race to the line. Stage 3 featured a tough and technical uphill finish in Arezzo. The finish looked set to suit both classics riders and sprinters. Philippe Gilbert led the race out, but with Simon Clarke of ORICA-GreenEdge, Andre Greipel, Peter Sagan and Michal Kwiatkowski also in contention, a broad range of riders were going for the win.
