20 مايس 2015 الدكتورة جين مون مرة ثانية في أمسية ثقافية تتحدث فيها عن تطورات اعمال التنقيب في المشروع الذي تشرف عليه في تل خبير – اثار اور في محافظة ذي قار العراق . الدكتورة جين مون عالمة آثار متخصصة في الشرق الأوسط. عملت في كلية الاثار البريطانية اعمال التنقيب في اثار العراق 1976-1985، وكان مقرعملها في بغداد.في عام 2000 حصلت د. جين مون على وسام الإمبراطورية البريطانية لخدمات لعلم الآثار. عادت د. مون الى شغفها الاول ؛ آثار العراق، وتشغل حاليا منصب المدير التنفيذي لمشروع التنقيب عن آثار أور في ذي قار العراق. وتقوم باعمال التنقيب فب تل خيبر قرب الناصرية. حيث أظهرت صور الأقمار الصناعية وجود مبنى كبير تحت السطح يعود الى 4000 سنة على الأقل. She worked for the British School of Archaeology in Iraq from 1976 to 1985, based in Baghdad. In the year 2000, Jane was made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to archaeology. Dr. Moon has recently returned to her first love, the archaeology of Iraq, and is currently Co-Director of the Ur Region Archaeology Project, a new collaborative heritage project in Thiqar, Iraq. Tell Khaiber is an ancient settlement near Nasiriya. Satellite images showed the presence of a large building under the surface, and a visit in 2012 confirmed that occupation dated back at least 4,000 years.
