トーマス柄ランチョンマットの作り方　How to sew the Thomas place mat

ブログ版もあわせてどうぞ。 www.jewel-track.com/sewing/post_440.html ランチョンマットは、角部分の仕立てがポイントですね。今回は、布に少し厚みがあったので、額縁仕立てにしました。 Today's handcrafted goods is Placemat. Corner is Miter a corner. ■作り方（Making of Thomas place mat） ランチョンマットに使う布は、31cm×42cmの大きさ。（縫い代込み） Placemat fabric, 31cm by 42cm. (Seam allowances are included.) 布は、角の部分を半分に折り、図の位置を縫います。 Fold the corner into 45 degree, and sew. 縫ったら、その縫い線から1cmの幅で平行線を引き、そこをカット。 Draw a line parallel to sewed line, and cut off extra cloth. 残った方の縫い代には、切り込みを入れ、縫い代を割ります。 Then make a cut in fabric, and press seam allowances open. 割ったところの余分はカット。 Cut off extra cloth. その後、帯状になっている部分の半分（1cm）を折り返し、 Then fold the fabric in half (1cm),… 角の部分を裏側へ引っくり返します。（ピンセットを使うとやりやすいです。） and turn the corner right side out.
