The blinds for this game were 100/100, although it was common to see straddles from a few hundreds to even thousands of dollars. Players were at least 20k deep and some had stacks over 100k (thousands of big blinds deep). In this hand we go over an important principle that applies often when shortstacking but can also be applies to deep games when the SPR on the flop is low particularly for one player, like Viktor Blom in this pot. In these spots, players should be very aware of the stack sizes in play and use bet sizing and relative position to their advantage, with the goal of realizing their own equity and forcing their opponents to forfeit their own.
