Travel apps can be really handy when you are travelling abroad, so here are my top 5! 1. TripIt! www.tripit.com My favourite travel app has to be TripIt. It helps you organise you next big adventure without you barely lifting a finger. There are two main ways you can use it. Once you receive any flight or hotel confirmations then you just forward that email to [email protected] and BANG it appears on all your devices with all the details you need like times, dates and reference numbers. Once you start adding your stops, your itinerary fills up and organises itself in a neat way and can be accessed on your smart phone, laptop or tablet. No more carrying around pieces of paper, which is handy when you're booking on the go! You can even add multiple trips, or just use it as a one off! This app is available on both iOS and android and IS COMPLETELY FREE! 2. Trip advisor www.tripadvisor.co.uk This has so so so much information and it's all available right at your fingertips! You can browse through thousands of reviews submitted by other travellers to see what's hot and what's not. It also has a function which can identify places near you to eat, drink, sleep and SEEEEE. Trip advisor is also available on android and iOS 3. SkyScanner www.skyscanner.com This is a great app which helps you find the cheapest flight deals which are going and it is really easy to use! No more scouring different websites to find the best deal! Available on android and iOS. 4. Kind of a two in one but get both, Hostelworld and hostelbookers app which will help you book your accommodation on the go! www.hostelworld.com www.hostelbookers.com There are hundreds of travel apps out there and there are some amazing ones such as aroundme and wikitude however these all require internet access, so unless you want to be hounded with data charges abroad, I would turn your data off before you leave and just connect to WiFi DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE!
