TRAFFIC SENTINEL SCHEME WILL CONTINUE: CM SAWANT_Prudent Media Goa

MLAs Sudin, Digambar, Alex and Glen have raised question on Traffic Sentinel scheme. They have demanded government to rethink on the scheme claiming that the scheme has created much confusion and scuffles since last few years. However, replying to their concern Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has stated that the scheme would not be stopped. Informing that around 7387 Sentinels have been registered under the scheme, CM has stated that government would check into some assurances regarding the scheme. CM has also disclosed that 165 Sentinels have been already paid an amount of ₹ 37 lakh and more ₹ 29 lakh has to be paid to another 101 Sentinels.
