I show a squish cancel in TTC using a pendulum. As the name implies, this is a technique to cancel a squish, which then puts Mario into the freefall action from whatever airborne action he was already in. In this case, Mario goes from dive action to freefall action. The hope was that we could use this to chain a series of ground pounds together to gain infinite height in TTC. However, this technique requires the pendulum to be tangible, which only happens if Mario is within a 1500 spherical radius around the pendulum. The top of this sphere is around the height of the rotating hand, and so our hope of chaining ground pounds together to get onto the cogs 0x doesn't seem likely to be possible. Backstory: Bad_boot discovered the potential for squish cancel 3 months ago, but was unable to execute it in-game. However, just now, Super Watermelon 64 executed it in JRB using the ship (https://youtu.be/oGpxZ_JeFQk), which generated more interest in it.
