Medical technology produces a lot of waste. With two syringes -- one fat, other thin you can make a lovely pump. A steel ball dropped into the barrel of the thin syringe will make a good suction valve. The pump will have two valves, a barrel and a piston. Place the pump in a mug of water and push-pull the small syringe a few times.
