Unbiased Xiaomi Mijia Dafang 1080P Pan Tilt IP Camera review

My first review! DO NOT BUY UNTIL YOU WATCH THIS!! Bought this for GBP20 from Gearbest, one of the cheapest place to get. Gearbest link to buy: https://goo.gl/2XaN9R 8:08 - Tried playing CO and Smoke detector sound, the camera doesn't detect and send notification to me. 8:28 - Auto image correction (To remove the fisheye effect) 8:55 - Subject movement auto-tracking only works with firmware 5.5.1.177. Warning, read below before deciding if you want to update the firmware!! Note: 1) Capable of recording into thumbdrive via back USB port. Works with my old 4GB Sandisk U3 thumbdrive. 2) Currently only works if you are using Xiaomi phones. In my Samsung S6 Edge, I am unable to open this camera in MiHome app. I presume there will be an update on the app to solve this bug. New update of firmware 5.5.1.177 (I do it so that you don't have to) 1) Slow response from camera including the PTZ function (as expected - same traits like Xiaofang). 2) Motion tracking now works with new firmware. 3) Motion alert is now working with the new firmware (Cloud storage feature is 15 seconds clip every 5 minutes). Xiaofang was 12 seconds every 10 minutes. Yi Home IP720 camera was 6 seconds every 10 minutes. 4) MiHome app keeps crashing. Camera felt 'laggy'. 5) New feature button to reset camera Pan/Tilt to 0 degrees (stock). 6) Smoke and CO alarm sound detection still not working (Same problem with Xiaofang). 7. Color correction (Objects turns out redder) (white balance reduced). 8. If you are happy with the original out of the box firmware, my suggestion is not to update to the latest firmware.
