Since an arcade machine wouldn't really work in the United States, Bandai really only had three options: collectible cards, a card game, or a card based video game. Seeing as how collectible cards don't really capture the kids, and card based video cames never really caught on, the card game was the best and most profitable option. To top it off, the integration of the Card Scanner App, as well as the Gosei Morpher as optional tools in the card game is fantastic. Both have the same function as the die: determining the power level of your card to figure its attack strength. The Gosei Morpher even brings in the added "special effects" that can occur randomly upon inserting the card to add an element of surprise to your battles. The Dice-O card artwork always looks fantastic (particularly the Zords and Megazords) and the new artwork is great too. As far as the set is concerned, I would have loved to see more variation in the card selection and not several copies of the same Ranger, but as a Pokémon TCG player I know the feeling all too well. --- Awesome Intro thanks to Ryokuya!
