UNDERGROUND BOMB SHELTER Found at ABANDONED Mansion

Keeping it local this week with a trip over to Leeds where we found this nearly 200 year old abandoned mansion. Had bit of trouble getting in and Al got a booboo, but it was well worth it. It replaced the old military hospital at Becketts Park in Leeds, catering for patients who had been injured in the Great War, specializing in the fitting of appliances and false limbs to war veterans. The hospital closed in 1994, the old hospital buildings were demolished and the Grade II listed mansion has been left derelict with new housing built in the grounds. In early 2008, filing cabinets containing patients' details were found inside the basement of the hospital after it had already been sold on. Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned factories, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era.
