Unsustainable Chinese post office

I brought to a Shanghai post office two perfectly packed tubes with posters to be sent to Hangzhou and Taiwan international poster awards. Not only they made me open them "to see what's inside" (what were they thinking? a football?!?! a DVD disc?!?!) -- they only peeked at it when I did ("Oh, I see, papers!") -- but Chinese regulations makes it mandatory that all packages go inside their official plastic boxes. Since they didn't have any box that would fit the tubes, an employee spend more than 10 minutes destroying two boxes to repackage the tubes inside it -- also using a LOT of tape.
