UPA way ahead of NDA in creating infrastructure

Shri Narendra Modi claims that India needs better infrastructure. Well, there is no one who can disagree with that. But Shri Modi doesn't seem to be aware that the UPA has been much more effective in building quality infrastructure as compared to the NDA. The facts speak for themselves: The UPA has added 4 times more power generation capacity than NDA. Internet and broadband services have increased by more than 100 times during UPA's tenure. Over 17,394 kms of highways have been built by UPA and over 2 lakhs kms of new rural roads added to the rural road network. This translates to 3 times more than the NDA. Today India is the 9th largest aviation market in the world. During UPA's tenure air passenger carried were 162 million as compared to 23 million during NDA's tenure. Revenue by goods generated by Indian Railways during UPA tenure was Rs 6,77,614 million while NDA only generated Rs 2,74, 032 million. Let's get the facts right.
