UPDF Promotions

President Yoweri Museveni promotes the Commander of the UPDF troops in South Sudan, Colonel Kayanja Muhanga to the rank of Brigadier. The President has also promoted the Internal Security Organisation Chief, Colonel Ronnie Balya to the rank of Brigadier. The UPDF spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda, says Colonel Kayanja's promotion is a result of the UPDF's defeat of Riek Machar's forces in South Sudan.
