For the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant and a bevy of other fashion queens - there's only one man in their life - and his name is Paul Rowland. Not a household name, this former model and painter has been quietly carving out a sizeable slice of the fashion empire for himself and his `Women' model agency. From the company's headquarters in a loft building in Manhattan's downtown SoHo, Rowland has built up a business with $15 million in bookings a year. He set up shop in 1989 with as he puts it, "nothing but a rolodex and a phone." But insiders say there was more to it than that and among editors and photographers, Rowland has a reputation for having "incredible foresight in terms of girls and spotting trends."
