VALLEY YOUTH HUNTER EDUCATION CHALLENGW

The Valley YHEC is a youth oriented corporation. We have youth participaint from Bradfor Counnty, PA and Tioga County, NY. The Valley Youth Hunter Education Challenge, Inc. Teaches fire arms safety, wildlife identification, orienteering, archery, etc. We have been in existence for over 20 year and this past year had 41 youth (ages 11-18) in our program. We practice locally from March to June, when all the youth go to PA State competition held at State College. Pa. We have been fotunate enough over the years to have had a number of your youth reresent P in the international shoot ehld in July and win either the team title and /or individual titles. From January through the middle of March we have 50+ childtren shoting NRA sanctioned indoor light rifle either Monday or Thursday evenings. Two years ago, we relocated to an old barn and six acres of land located south of Rome, Pa on Route 187. We reorganized, incorporated and have been accepted to e a tax exempt corporation by the State of PA and the Federal Government (501(c) (3) status.) During the months when we are not practicign ith the youth, we have been working on the barn and land - money allowing. We now have a new roof, concrete foundation and flor, insulation and walls finished , heat, kitcah, bathroom, water nd sewer. We are looking to uild an indoor rifle range of our own in the near future, but at the moment this is beyond our current financial ability.
