I usually try to eat at least 2 "slow carb" meals (From Tim Ferriss' 4 Hour Body book). I am not religious about it but I have been able to drop some weight with just cutting down the Cola's and cutting out some of the starches in my diet. Long way to go but it's a pretty simple diet once you get used to it. Basically, lots of veggies, beans and meat.
I still have a long way to go but every little bit counts :-)
