School of Carnatic Music by Rama Raghuraman conducting Veena Classes.Rama Raghuraman started learning music at a very young age ( 10 years) . She took her initial training from mother late Smt Pushpa Srinivas who belonged to Madurai Mani Iyer Bhani (gharana)of music. Later she started her Veena training from late Shri Raghavan and then started to train under Smt Ranganayaki Rajagopalan who belongs to the Karaikkudi Bhani (gharana).She got placed in grade B-high in All India a Radio ,Chennai in 1980 and she got her grade A in AIR in 1988.In 2002, she joined the world-famous Kalakshetra Foundation and served the Rukmini Devi College of Fine Arts as full-time faculty in its vocal, Veena and music theory departments.She has 30 years of teaching experience during which she has enabled many students to appear for BA, MA, and government examinations in music successfully.
