Very Painful Venipuncture Needle Insertion Part 2/2

Here's the 2nd attempt to place the needle in my right hand vein. The guy nurse had to call the doctor for assistance somehow. After a little over 15 minutes, the painful ordeal finally ended. That was a huge sigh of relief for me! The seemingly simple procedure turned out to be an actual torture! That's how it felt for me. Even after they successfully inserted the needle, the pain was lingering in my whole hand. And that needle kept me company throughout the duration of my hospital stay. Not a pleasant experience for sure. But little did I know that this was just a foretaste of the much more excruciating pain I had to go through after my Chest Tube Insertion. :( - Manila, Philippines April 2, 2013
