BOX OPENING Upon arrive the box had some minor damage on the exterior Almost all sides of the box had suffered some impact on the way to my home of residence However Virpil did an excellent job keeping the product secure The product box itself had packing around it so the throttle had no room to bounce around. And had bubble wrap our safe keeping. Just taking the throttle out of the package had a nice feel and weight to it Heavy and cold to the touch with the external metal casing The red momentary button top was loose in the bottom box, but I simply slid it into the socket with ease. The throttle itself comes with many buttons, momentary toggle, and latched And a flap lever that can act as an Auxiliary Axis The actual throttle has some push resistance to it out of the box, and along the side you still have tension adjustment just like the original the top has a redesigned curved shape for ergonomics, and it also covered with different sticks anagol and hat , dials and buttons as well. The dual throttle has a latch to individually manipulate each engine. To uncouple the throttle feel for the bottom latch gently push to the right and then push it forward. Then you will be able to move each one independently, to recouple assertively move the latch aft and gently guide to the left, it will string back into place with haste if you do not guide it with your finger. One thing that is worth mentioning is the fact this this model does not include the idle/afterburner detents as the original did , so keep this in mind The throttle definitely give you more options as a flight sim enthusiast. Keeping your hands away from the mouse, and focused on flying For me this is an upgrade from my CH pro throttle that served me well through my military career. But I knew it was time for an upgrade This premium throttle will compliment my t 50 cm stick and will work nicely with my the F-18 in DCS and go well with larger ships in Star Citizen. Over all the throttle set me back 466.92 usd How ever again with the reputation that virpil has, I have the utmost confidence in the longevity of my new product.
