Acid attack is horrible crime against women which not only disfigures a woman’s face but also disturbs her normal life. However, the positive story of a brave acid attack survivor Lakshmi has brought a ray of hope for the unfortunate victims of this heinous crime. The Delhi woman was attacked with acid on April 22, 2005 at the busy Khan Market area of New Delhi. The aspiring singer was thus reduced to nobody, but she did not take things like a depressed victim and rather gained a fighter spirit. Later, Kanpur-based profession journalist Alok Dixit came in her life and transformed her perception. The couple has launched a landmark spirit ‘Stop Acid Attack’. ‘Next 9 News’ salutes their endeavour through this exclusive report.
