Volvo WXLL Labrie Top-Select Recycle Truck

Recently, I was lucky enough to catch this truck in action again, picking up residential recyclables on a rainy afternoon. This truck is a Volvo Xpeditor WXLL with a Labrie Top-Select recycler body. As you can see, this truck is subdivided into two compartments - a small compartment in the rear of the truck for glass, while the rest of the truck is for co-mingled recyclables (plastics, aluminum & tin cans, mixed paper, and cardboard). For those who are unfamiliar with this rather old fashioned method of recycle collection, recyclables are sorted into the trough on the side of the truck. When the trough becomes full, it is raised up and emptied into the top of the truck. I would like to personally thank the driver of this truck for being helpful, friendly, and highly professional, and for working hard to keep this city clean!
