1. 3 Peasants on the gold mine
2. Send other two behind town hall, build a Peon and set rally point on the gold mine while they are travelling
3. Build an Altar of Kings
4. Build a farm (I like to block-build them, so I build them in an area where I can build a whole bunch right next to each other)
5. Move the rally point to a suitable location for a barracks (after the first Peon is on gold)
6. Build a Barracks, then move rally point to Lumber
7. Build another farm
It is key to have Peons building this whole time
8. When the Altar of Kings is finished, send that Peon to mine gold
9. Build a Hero (I choose Paladin for his tanking and healing capabilities)
10. Build another farm
11. When Barracks is finished building, build a Footman, and send the Peon to build a Lumber Mill
12. If playing on a map where 2 units can take on the easiest creeps, send your hero and footman in, if not, wait for another footman and then go.
13. Here, I start teching the Town Hall into a Keep and continue creeping.
Things to watch out for:
- Make sure to continue building Farms and first tier units, or you'll be vulnerable to a rush.
- Make a Blacksmith if you plan on getting Riflemen (generally a good idea)
- When the Keep is almost done upgrading, try to have 425 gold so you can get another Hero
- When playing to Tech, gold is essential, so having a second gold mine is necessary as soon as possible.
- Also when Teching, you're generally pretty vulnerable to rushes, make sure to not over-creep or run out of units to defend yourself.
