View our watch repair page here http://www.abouttime.com/abouttime/watch_maintenance_repair.page.html Complete service for your automatic or mechanical timepiece includes disassembling the movement and thoroughly cleaning all parts (mechanically or by hand, as needed). The movement is then reassembled, all jewels and gears are lubricated, and the timing is recalibrated. In addition, we will clean, polish, and repair the case and bracelet as needed and when possible. (Please note that some coated metals cannot be repaired.) Every water-resistant watch is pressure tested. Complete service for your quartz timepiece includes a battery change, of course. When appropriate, our skilled watchmaker will disassemble the movement, clean, lubricate, reassemble it, and recalibrate the timing. He will then clean, polish and repair the case and bracelet as needed and when possible. (Please note that some coated metals cannot be repaired.) If the watch is water-resistant, it is pressure tested. Give your old watch a facelift. Here's something you probably never even thought about... Your watch works just as well as the day you got it, but it doesn't quite look the same. It's not as shiny. That's because the very first time you wore your watch, it was factory fresh, perfectly clean and scratch-free. It's probably taken quite a beating since then. Give our watchmaker an opportunity to work his magic and you'll be amazed at the difference professional cleaning and re-surface finishing can make. When possible, he'll even repair the case and bracelet. Whether you measure the value of your timepiece in dollars or sentiment, care for it like the treasure it is. Let us know when to expect your watch. Call or e-mail and we'll tell you to keep the box and paper work at home and give you a RA# (Return Authorization number). Insulate the watch with bubble wrap or something similar, and put it in a box. Include your name, phone number, address, a brief description of the problem(s), and the amount for which you intend to insure your watch. Ship it any way you like, but do insure it with a signature required for delivery. Send it to A.T., 34085 Pacific Coast Hwy. #103, Dana Point, CA 92629. We'll contact you to confirm receipt. How much will it cost? We don't know... until we examine your watch, at which point we will contact you with an estimate. You might choose not to go forward with the work. We'll ask you for a credit card or some other form of payment to cover the cost of insured shipping and handling and promptly return your watch. If you do go forward with our expert service, and almost everyone does, we will contact you again when the work is completed. After payment in full, we'll promptly return your clean and properly working timepiece. You need a new watch strap. A worn out strap or beyond-repair bracelet doesn't do your watch justice. Call or e-mail us. Let us know what brand and what model you have. Chances are we can get the exact leather strap or metal bracelet you need. If we can't, we may know another brand that will fit just as well, or we'll help you order a top quality custom strap. Don't forget, most watches are designed to be worn with both straps and bracelets. Replacing that bracelet with a strap or that black strap with a blue one will give your watch a brand new appearance.
