Watch your lane!

Bangalore traffic police are enforcing lane discipline in the city. The implementation of this rule is expected to reduce traffic congestion by 15 to 20 per cent, bringing down the number of accidents. Rubber safety cones have been installed at a few critical junctions. These will be replaced with permanent metallic cones after a month. A sum of Rs. 100 will be levied as fine for the first offence and Rs. 300 for subsequent offenc from the first week of July.
