Bill Oddie was recently asked on ITV News to give his views on the collapse in Europe's bird population. For those who haven't heard: The farmland bird population has dropped from 600 million to 300 million between 1980 and 2009 (Pan European Common Bird Monitoring Scheme, 2012) and he was given JUST three minutes for his views, "what can we do?" he was asked.
