What Is Required in an Opt-In Text Message Confirmation?

In this SMS marketing video, Derek Johnson from Tatango.com explains what kind of information you need to include in an opt-in confirmation text message. An opt-in confirmation text message is send at the end of a consumer’s opt-in process. The CTIA and the wireless carriers have specific guidelines that tell brands what these messages need to disclose. Brands need to include their brand name, opt-out information, customer care contact information, a recurring message disclosure, and a “message and data rates may apply” disclosure. Besides guidelines, there are also legal, Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), requirements.
