Why These Moms Want Their Kids’ Birth Certificates Redone

Five years ago, victims of Dr. Robert Hadden, an OB-GYN who abused the women he treated, began speaking out about wanting their children’s birth records to be redone so that they didn’t include Hadden’s name. Several of his victims banded together to advocate for a law that would allow New York City women to get a physician’s name taken off of their children’s birth certificates if that physician’s medical license had been revoked. The law takes effect this month.
