We are really glad we have the chance to interview someone of your caliber. So what's your official title these days? I know you have been working your way through the distillery for a while... Eddie Russell: Right now I am the Associate Master Distiller for Wild Turkey and I am in my 31st year of making Wild Turkey Bourbon. Klinq: Tell us a bit about the history of Wild Turkey and the distillery. ER: Our actual plant started in 1869. It was started by the Ripy family. They had won the "Best Whiskey" at the worlds fair around the turn of the century and they made some different labels like JTS and Brown Anderson back before prohibition. After Prohibition Wild Turkey came around in 1938-39 and they came to our distillery and we started producing it. It's all produced right there at our one facility. Klinq: So a big thing for you guys is your name. The name alone brings back memories for people of crazy nights and amazing adventures.
