Winter Camping Solo on Vermont's Long Trail hiking with a dog

My dog Summit and I started from journey's end heading south. We got more snow than anticipated but the unknown is always the most interesting part of the journey. Join us for 3 days and 2 nights out on Vermont's long trail in the winter. Everyone is asking what type of dog, He is a mutt with my guess of Belgian Malinois/Lab. And no we don't carry weapons with us as there is nothing to fear out there but yourself.
