Women return to Israeli advertisements in Jerusalem: fears of Ultra-Orthodox attacks subsideУ вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5
Advertising billboards around Jerusalem are featuring women again after the absence of female images caused widespread outrage. Worried that Ultra-Orthodox extremists would take offense and damage the adverts, many companies pulled promotional posters and left many areas without women on advertisements or even completely without ads. Prominent organisations such as the National Transplant Center and TV show Hatzuya have reintroduced their ads featuring women. A spokeswoman for the transplant center said they used the same campaign nationwide and the decision to pull the ads had instead been taken by the advertising company. This is certainly a victory for liberal Israelis, but ads with women still won't be shown in Ultra-Orthodox areas of the city - or on the sides of buses, where the high cost of repair has to be considered.
