DIY Hand-made wood carving Parang/golok/machete/knife sheath and handle | 木雕刀鞘和手柄 Blades: 12” Parang Bidor from well known Bidor Blacksmith. Material: Hardwood from Duku tree (Lansium parasiticum) collected from local Malaysian orchard. The wood is hard, dense, heavy and highly resilient. The wood does have a natural scent that smells as good as its fruits. Prior to the project, it was air dry for 2 months to reduces the moisture content of the wood.
