HOW DOES IT WORK? The pipe is sealed at both ends with tape. Using a vacuum pump I evacuate all the air inside the barrel pretty close to full vacuum. Once I break the burst disk (tape) at one side the air rushes in at an incredible speed (6 to 15 times the speed of sound even though it doesn't accelerate the dart at the same speed) and it takes the dart with it. The momentum of the dart doesn't stop at the end of the barrel so it breaks the other burst disk and it gets out at an incredible, destructive speed. This version of the cannon it's not super efficient though. I learned a lot and the next video will be much more powerful.
