This is a more in-depth look at my custom arcade machine I built.
I am preparing to sell the game, so I wanted to make a good video showcasing it for watching later in life. I'll probably look back in a couple years and kick myself for selling it, but there's always more I can build (so long as a good cabinet doesn't get trashed).
I choose to use two standard 25" CRT tubes for my screens rather than LCD or plasma. The benefits far outweighed the crystal clear LCDs. The are cheaper, easier to replace, give it more of a "arcade" look, and allow for lightgun games like Silent Scope and House of the Dead.
The cabinet is absolutely perfect for any and all system linked games. Please watch my other videos of it running side by side Outrun 2 gaming to see it working. Playing the Halo games, Ghost Recon, or Star Wars Battlefront was always a blast as well. Each player would pull out there Wireless remote and sit at their own screen. Much better than having split screens.
Big thanks to oregonarcade for the cabinet. Yes, all parts and monitors were salvaged and reused elsewhere. See my other video for more details on the build.
