October 24, 2016, Students from NEC’s Cello Department performed in a masterclass with renowned artist Yo-Yo Ma.In this clip, Ma works with cellist Sasha Scolnik-Brower with pianist Jayoung Kim on the Allegro moderato movement from Barber's Concerto for Cello, Op 22.
With his signature energy and wit, Ma goes through the challenging concerto and helps both the musicians and the audience appreciate it’s depths and complexities.
