YouTube Algorithm - YouTube Watch Time Explained

The YouTube Algorithm is driven by three ranking factors. 1) Accumulated Watch Time 2) Keyword Relevancy 3) Audience Retention Two of the three most critical youtube ranking factors are based on watch time metrics. In this video, I share how you can move forward and optimize your YouTube videos for watch time and retention. Namely, average view duration or average percentage viewed. Both of these YouTube Algorithm watch time metrics can be found in your YouTube analytics under "retention" and they provide YouTube a metric in which they can measure the engagement of a video. YouTube Algorithm in 2017 is being driven by these three core fundamentals.
