Zara Tonikyan, Зара Тоникян , Zara Tonikian, Զառա Տոնիկյան an Armenian jazz singer, was a soloist of Orbelian Jazz band, TV and Radio orchestra (Big Band), winner of international festivals, and competitions. Armenian star together with Elvina Makaryan, Erna Yuzbashyan and others was traveling all around the world. The song is written by Artur Grigorian, and this is the firs performance on Soviet - Sweden TV show principally new radical change of Perestroika period ! The showmen are Igor Nikolaev (USSR) and Jakob Dalil (Sweden). Her beautiful voice range sounds very classical, similar to Nana Mouskouri or Barbara Streisand. She sings jazz, Armeanian folk, and so called estrada (kind of Armenian pop).
