'Zhuravli' - Cranes; piano interpretation of the well-known Russian/Soviet song commemorating fallen soldiers, music composed by Ian Frenkel in 1969. According to the beautiful lyrics written by Rasul Gamzatov, fallen soldiers may have not died on bloody battlefields but transformed into white cranes looking from the sky at all those whom they left on earth.
