ZY Play app | Nikon D850 | Video control and transmission

ZY Play app | Nikon D850 | Video control and transmissionУ вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5
This is the worst tutorial on how to connect the ZY Play app to a Nikon D850. Simply put, it doesn't work well. You might have to run through the steps multiple times as I could never get this to work consistently. This whole process might be a workaround all together. If you have any input, please provide it below in the comments. Precondition: Set HDMI settings in the D850 to Output resolution:1080p External recording: ON In advanced: Output range: full Output display range: 100 Liveview on display: ON Dual monitor: ON Steps: 1. Turn on the camera. 2. Connect the HDMI from the crane 3 to the camera. 3. Turn on live view on the camera. 4. Turn on the crane 3. 5. When live disables, turn on live view again and look for the standby icon on the camera screen. 6. Launch the ZY play app on the iOS device. 7. Connect to bluetooth 8. Press the camera button. 9. Connect to network when prompted. 10. If done properly, you get a video transmission icon within the ZY play app. You are ready to stream video from the D850 at this point. However, NO camera control. 11. Connect the Data cable to the camera. 12. Connect the other side of the data cable to the crane 3 camera control module. *****At this point, you have to be kinda quick and launch the video stream on the ZY play app. In most cases, the icon will disappear and you are no longer able to connect for some reason. It feels like the D850 comes out of a streaming video state and the ZY Play app no longer recognizes an available connection. If your ZY Play app retains the video transmission icon displayed at this step. You can launch the video transmission at any point. IF the icon disappears continue with the steps. 13. Disconnect the data cable from the crane 3 camera control module. 14. Go into live view on the D850. 15. repeat steps 12-14 as necessary until you have successfully launched the video transmission. Additional notes: These steps were not very consistent. Sometimes it would connect on the first try, others would take 10 tries (steps 12-14). The HDMI settings has to be with what I have outlined, as I was not able to connect with any option other than stated. And I was not going to try all the different variables as it would take a major part of my day. If you read all of this. WOW. Leave a comment.
