The former boss of collapsed cryptocurrency exchange FTX has spoken out for the first time since the company went bust.

Sam Bankman-Fried watched his multi-billion dollar fortune vanish into thin air when the company went bankrupt, leaving thousands of people locked out of their trading accounts.

He admitted he had almost no money left - his networth has reportedly plummeted from $26 billion to little more than $100,000.

The 30-year-old has been has been accused of misusing customer funds and embezzling $10 billion.

At least $1 billion has disappeared entirely, with thousands of FTX users stuck with the bill.
