UN Human Rights Council gathers in New York City on Tuesday, March 1, for a continuation of the 49th regular session amid military conflict in Ukraine.

Ukraine and Russia sat down for talks on Thursday for the first time since the Russian military attack on Ukraine, which started in the early hours on February 24.

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov was expected to deliver a speech at the council, but his attendance was cancelled.
