Russia and Belarus have embarked on 10 days of military drills a stone’s throw from the Ukrainian border.

Amid ongoing fears of a Russian invasion, the US called the drills an ‘escalatory’ move.

Belarus and Russia are close allies, and both share long borders with Ukraine.

Thought to be Russia’s biggest deployment to Belarus since the Cold War,

Ukraine is now surrounded on three sides by thousands of pro-Russian troops.
